The company was established as Duncan's Windows, by Southern Peninsula late resident Duncan Leigh Alsop, who on his passing, left the business to his very capable team - Albert, Elvis and Password - to continue servicing the company client base of over 200 properties across the Cape Town Southern Suburbs and Southern Peninsula. The company name was later changed to Progress Windows.
